How to send digital invitations and get replies on Messenger
Most guests in the Philippines will open your invitation inside Messenger on their phone. A few habits make the difference between a full guest list and weeks of "Uy, pupunta ka ba?" messages.
Set the RSVP deadline first
Ask for replies three to four weeks before the event. Your caterer and venue need final numbers, usually a week or two ahead, and you'll want time to follow up.
Send personal links, not one link for everyone
A personal link that greets the guest by name gets more replies, and it tells you exactly who has answered.
Check how your link looks in Messenger
Before you send it to 200 people, send it to yourself. The preview card should show the right picture and title. If it shows an old image, paste the link into Facebook's Sharing Debugger and press "Scrape Again".
Print a QR code for the printed cards
If you're also printing invitations, add a QR code that opens the website. Print it dark on a light background so every phone camera can read it.
Remind once, a week before the deadline
One friendly reminder to the guests who haven't answered is enough. A personal message works best, especially from a family member.
Don't forget the titos, titas and lolos
Some older guests won't reply online. Call them, or ask a cousin to reply for them. A digital invitation should make life easier, not leave anyone out.
