"Copy their link" gives a personal link that greets them by name and fills in their name for the reply. Paste it in their Messenger chat. It also shows the private events you made for their group (Design → More events).

Add guests

You can paste straight from Excel or Google Sheets (name, seats, group columns). Names that are already on the list are skipped.

Settings

Remind guests who said yes 3 days before

Guests who said yes and typed their email get one reminder before your event: the date, the venue with a map link, the dress code, their table, and a link to change their reply if plans changed. Guests who haven't replied don't get it (they haven't given an email): send them a reminder from the list above.

Email me new replies

Get an email each time a guest replies or changes their reply: who, how many, their message. Free on every plan. On a very busy day some emails may be skipped, but every reply is always here.

Want guests' mobile numbers too? Tick "Also ask for a mobile number" under Design → Reply form.

Who can reply?

Open RSVP lets one reply bring up to 2. Change it under Design → Reply form → "Most seats one reply can ask for".

Email confirmations On

Your reply form now asks for an email (optional). When a guest replies with one, they get their invitation by email at once: the details and map links, their own invitation link, seats, table and guest pass, and a calendar file for their phone. Nothing to send yourself.

Who it's from

Emails are sent by The Invitation under your name. If a guest hits Reply, it goes to your own email.

Send from your own Gmail optional · about 5 minutes

Without this, emails come from The Invitation's mailbox with your name on them, and that works fine. Connect your Gmail if you'd rather they come from your own address. It uses a small Google script that only you own.

  1. On a computer, sign in to the Gmail you want to send from and open script.google.com → New project.
  2. Delete what's in the editor, then paste this script (it already has your private key):
  3. Click Deploy → New deployment, choose type Web app, set Execute as: Me and Who has access: Anyone, then Deploy.
  4. Google asks you to allow it to send email as you. If you see "Google hasn't verified this app", click Advanced → Go to (your project) → Allow. It's your own script.
  5. Copy the Web app URL and paste it here:

Your invitation card optional

Have a designed card (from Canva or your printer)? Add it and it's shown in the email and attached. JPG or PNG shows inside the email; PDF is attached. Up to 8 MB.

What guests see

On the invitation, guests tap RSVP. With a guest list they search their name ("Find my invitation") and confirm up to the seats you saved for them; with open RSVP they type their name and how many are coming. Every reply lands here instantly.

Seating, check-in and floor plans are part of the Seating add-on (included in Premium and Custom), as are email confirmations. Closed guest lists come with Plus and up. The gift list is free on every plan.
